The 5th year anniversary will be a very special, exclusive in-person summit AND online broadcast this October!

Celebrating 5 years of WSAI we will be creating a ‘super summit’ by combining three of our world leading brands together; World Summit AI, Intelligent Health (on the 12th October only) and the launch of TMinus30 – our new InspiredMinds summit on climate and the future of food and agriculture. This exclusive summit will take place at the historic Beurs van Berlage in central Amsterdam, will be limited to 1000 people, and will present a mind-blowing lineup of the very best of the last 5 years world class speakers in one amazing show stopping plenary stage! (to say we are excited doesn’t do it justice!!)

To celebrate 5 amazing years of WSAI we will also be launching the World AI Awards, an independent awards focused on world leading AI innovation with impact – limited tickets available!

What’s WSAI and why is this year different?

“Imitation is the highest form of flattery….but there is only one World Summit AI!” Fortune magazine

WSAI is the world’s leading and internationally renowned AI summit gathering the global AI ecosystem of Enterprise, BigTech, Startups, Investors and Science, the brightest brains in AI as speakers every year in Amsterdam to tackle head-on the most burning AI issues and set the global AI agenda. We are a community of 200,000 InspiredMinds from 167 countries world-wide, we have missed you….

COVID 19 might have stopped us from meeting in person last year but we have redesigned this years summit into a show-stopping, breath-taking, pulse racing global meeting of InspiredMinds both in person at the beautiful Beurs van Berlage in the heart of Amsterdam, and online!

It would be very easy for us to sell 4000+ tickets to a physical event, but we have world leading clinicians expertise at our finger tips due to our Intelligent Health community and they have advised us –  it would simply not be the right thing to do.

We have your safety at the heart of our decision and are therefore limiting attendance to a physical summit in the heart of Amsterdam to 1000 attendees initially and we are redesigning the summit in line with clinical advice (our advisors are world leaders check out www.intelligenthealth.ai)…

More tickets may be released at a later date if safe to do so. The summit will be simultaneously streamed to our global community on our online platform.

Who’s coming?

CEOs, CTOs, heads of AI, scientists, technologists, academics, startups and investors from every corner of the globe will join at the exclusive physical summit and online via our global platform.

We have redesigned the summit to act as an AI omnichannel!

We have redesigned the format this year to allow a safe and exclusive gathering in person in Amsterdam, whilst also running a first class production online.  The theme for this year will be AI with Impact.

Both the physical and online summit will follow the exact same format:

  • Curated 121 meetings using our AI powered matchmaking tool – physically there will be managed meeting points and online there will be camera on meetings
  • Plenary sessions live and streamed to the platform with mind blowing speakers and world leaders
  • Table talks – curated, board room style meetings both in person and online – private or public and always managed in a safe way
  • Masterclass sessions – workshops with a difference – world leading speakers giving private masterclasses to small groups at the physical summit and online – fancy a masterclass with Yoshua B, Yann Le Cunn, Gary M, Joanna B, Timnit G, Meredith W? Think a meeting with the world leaders but with a practical focus on learning from the best!
  • Host an awards table at the World AI Awards on the 12th October and break bread with Cassie K or share a bottle of wine with Rediet A. NEW for 21!
  • Access the all new ‘super summit’ streams at Intelligent Health and Tminus30 co-located InspiredMinds summits now taking place in Amsterdam for the first time!

Whatever we do in person in Amsterdam at the exclusive in-person summit, we will replicate online in real time for our global community!

STUART RUSSELL
Professor of Computer Science
University of California, Berkeley
STUART RUSSELL
Professor of Computer Science
University of California, Berkeley

Stuart Russell is a pioneer in the understanding and uses of artificial intelligence (AI), its long-term future, and its relation to humanity. He also is a leading authority on robotics and bioinformatics.

Stuart Russell is the author or coauthor of three books on knowledge, reasoning, and machine learning, including the standard textbook on artificial intelligence. Stuart Russell is a professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at UC-Berkeley and Adjunct Professor of Neurological Surgery at UC-San Francisco.

Artificial intelligence. AI is a machine’s ability to perceive its environment and use that information to maximise its chance at succeeding at some goal. All of the technologies behind artificial intelligence are evolving at exponential rates and are just now beginning to rocket up the curve. Soon artificially intelligent machines will be doing things we can barely conceive, in virtually every area of human business, life, and culture. Few people understand this future better than Stuart Russell, who wrote the standard textbook on AI (with coauthor Peter Norvig), now in its third edition.

Robotics. Stuart Russell is also a leading researcher in the practical applications of machine intelligence. If AI is the brain of the machine of the future, the robot is its body. Robots are taking over more and more functions that once required a human actor, with far-reaching consequences — and opportunities — for people, businesses, and society as a whole. He has focused recently on the threat of autonomous weaponry.

Biological information. As an Adjunct Professor of Neurological Surgery, Stuart has been researching computational physiology, with a current focus on Intensive Care Unit monitoring systems. He is a leader in the development of technologies that make sense of biological data and that apply this information in ways that advance human health.

Credentials. In addition to the positions already mentioned, Stuart Russell holds the SmithZadeh Chair in Engineering at UC-Berkeley and is Vice-Chair of the World Economic Forum’s Council on AI and Robotics. He is the recipient of many awards and held the Chaire Blaise Pascal in Paris from 2012 to 2014. He is a researcher at a number of research centers, including the Berkeley Artificial Intelligence Research Lab (BAIR), the Berkeley Center for New Media (BCNM), and the Synthetic Biology Institute (SBI). He is the founder and Vice-President of Bayesian Logic, Inc., a data analysis start-up under contract with the UN to build a new Nuclear Test Ban Treaty global monitoring system.

Meredith Whittaker is the Minderoo Research Professor at New York University and the founder of Google’s Open Research group.

Her research and advocacy focus on the social implications of artificial intelligence and the tech industry responsible for it, with a particular emphasis on power and the political economy driving the commercialization of computational technology. Prior to NYU, she worked at Google for over a decade, where she led product and engineering teams, founded Google’s Open Research Group, and co-founded M-Lab, a globally distributed network measurement platform that now provides the world’s largest source of open data on internet performance. She also worked extensively on issues of privacy and security, helping provide funding, strategy, and support for efforts dedicated to providing privacy from governments and large tech corporations. As a long-time tech worker, she also helped lead labor organizing at Google. She was one of the core organizers pushing back against Google’s military contracts, the company’s insufficient response to concerns about AI and its harms, and was a central organizer of the Google Walkout. She continues to work in solidarity with organizers in tech, driven by the belief that worker power and collective action are necessary to ensure meaningful tech accountability, especially in the context of concentrated industrial power. She has advised the White House, the FCC, the City of New York, the European Parliament, and many other governments and civil society organizations on artificial intelligence, internet policy, measurement, privacy, and security.
