Deepa has been part of the Shell’s Data Science CoE leadership since early 2017. She has been instrumental in developing a global community of AI enthusiasts & responsible for scaling up & replicating AI solutions across Shell. In her current role, Deepa is leading Shell.ai – a transformative program. Deepa is playing a pivotal role in launching Shell.ai Residency program in Bangalore.

Deepa has over 19 years of experience in Consulting, Startup & Product based companies. Before joining Shell, she was working with an analytics start-up as a Customer Engagement Director. Prior to this Deepa worked with Microsoft as an Architect and Program Manager. She has done an Executive Program in Business Analytics from Indian School of Business and was a double gold medalist & University rank holder in BSc Computer Science & MCA post-graduation.

Deepa is married with 2 kids and is currently training for a half marathon

Mika Ruokonen is an expert in AI driven business transformation at digital innovation and engineering consultancy, Futurice

 

His 15 years’ experience in digital technologies and software solutions have included various roles such as P&L responsibility, business development, research, sales and consulting. During that period he has come to realise that while businesses quite easily solve tech-related challenges and invent great new products and services, they commonly struggle with commercializing them. 

 

Mika’s particular area of interest is how data and AI (Artificial Intelligence) can transform what companies sell (the offerings) and how they make money (the revenue models) with a view to developing pioneering commercialization strategies.

 

Currently there is very little existing literature available, and also very few corporate success stories. In particular, it’s common in business books, articles and presentations to state that data and AI can enable “completely new business models” at companies. Yet there are barely any descriptions of what these models would actually entail. Yet how can any company plan and implement new business models when no-one has made the effort to describe what they are, how they work, and what the road map to implementing them would look like? Mika realised that there is a gap to be filled and his discussions with senior business leaders confirmed there is an opportunity to unlock a lot of value.

Helenio is the Senior Business Transformation Director for the Process Automation business unit and leads the innovation and incubation of new industrial solutions and business models that take advantage of emerging technology trends like IIoT and Industry 4.0 to deliver better profitability, operational efficiencies and increased production to Schneider’s industrial customers.

 

Helenio was previously the Senior Director for SCADA Solutions at Schneider Electric. During his 20 years’ career Helenio has also held positions in R&D, Portfolio Management and International Business Development in companies like Hyprotech, Aspen Technology, WorleyParsons, 3esi-Enersight and Zedi.
